Meet Our Optometrists
Heartland Family Eyecare provides innovative eye care services to patients from in and around Clive. We offer comprehensive eye health assessments, ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, contact lens evaluation and fitting, and prescriptions.
We welcome new patients and accept most major forms of insurance.
Dr. Kelly J Soults graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Iowa State University in 1998. From there she went to the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry, graduating with honors in 2002. Dr. Soults is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa international optometric honor society and Phi Kappa Phi academic honor society. She is a long-standing member of the American Optometric Association and the Iowa Optometric Association.
Dr. Soults was born and raised in Iowa and has practiced in the Des Moines area since 2004. She enjoys practicing full-scope optometry including diagnosing and treating eye diseases, fitting a variety of contact lenses and seeing patients of all ages.
Dr. Soults enjoys spending time with her husband Eric, and their three daughters, Isabelle, Evelyn, and Avery. In her free time she enjoys running, camping, cooking, and gardening. She is also very passionate about animals and has volunteered in animal rescue for many years.
Dr. Morgan Wichman grew up in Freeport, Illinois. She attended North Central College where she graduated with her degree in Biology. From there, she received her doctorate in 2019 at Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. She moved from Illinois to Iowa to be near family and has been practicing in Iowa since 2019.
Dr. Wichman lives in Grimes with her husband and dog. She loves staying active, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
